The Galaxy Z Fold 2 should not be presented July 15, 2020 – Posted in: Smartphone news
The Samsung Unpacked Conference will take place on August 5, 2020. This year the giant has taken all the necessary precautions and decided to organize this event entirely online without an audience. Despite these conditions, the announcements should still be available, as we are looking forward to the Galaxy Note 20 series, the Galaxy Tab S7 and S7 +, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 and a 5G variant Galaxy Z Flip, but also Galaxy Buds Live and Galaxy Watch 3.
No Galaxy Z Fold 2 on August 5?
However, Max Weinbach, who represents the media of the XDA developers, has tweeted interesting information that Galaxy Z Fold 2 may be late. According to him, there is no chance that it will be presented at the event on August 5, 2020. In his thread, he explains that the device’s software side would not be operational for a September launch.
This is absolutely no surprise. The software is not even ready for launch in September, and there are very few mentions of hardware. It has probably been delayed a couple of times and that’s why.

Other explanations are possible. In fact, the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Z Fold 2 are the next two high-end smartphones from the Korean company. It would therefore be a bad idea to present them at the same time and take the risk that they take precedence over the others.
With the many other announcements in parallel, Samsung could also have made the decision to place the presentations in such a way that this event would not become indigestible. In this way, the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Z Fold 2 can recognize their glorious hours on their side without interfering with the start of the other.
If this information is confirmed, we can experience the launch of the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and the Galaxy Z Flip 5G at the next Samsung Unpacked on August 5, 2020, without forgetting all other products.
