Precise for the affordable version of the Galaxy S20 July 15, 2020 – Posted in: Smartphone news
While Samsung fans eagerly await the event on August 5, when the brand will present their new Galaxy Note, rumors are also circulating about an affordable version of the Galaxy S20. As a reminder: Samsung launched a “Lite” version of the Galaxy S10 in 2019. And so it would be logical that the Korean giant also offers an affordable version of the S20, the high-end that it launched earlier this year.
Rumors of an affordable version of the Galaxy S20 were circulating a month ago after an article on the subject was published on the Sammobile website. The latter had indicated that the device could be called the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition.
The successor to the Galaxy S10 Lite?
And this week, the same site is releasing new information. A priori, Samsung has to sacrifice part of the data sheet to make this version affordable. But apparently no concessions are made at processor level. In fact, in its new article, Sammobile states that the affordable version of the Galaxy S20 will feature the same Snapdragon 865 processor. This means that the performance will therefore be comparable. Sammobile also explains that the Snapdragon 865 processor should be accompanied by 6 GB of RAM.
Of course, this information should be viewed with extreme caution at the moment as it is not from an official source. In any case, given the current economic context, it would be possible for a cheaper model of the Galaxy S20 to seduce the masses (given the high prices for premium devices).
We’re completely blurry about the date of the presentation right now. Sammobile estimates that the device may not be released for several months, as Samsung will have to start introducing other products, including the next Galaxy Note, the Galaxy Fold 2, and probably an improved version as well. the Galaxy Z Flip, which the Korean brand presented at the beginning of the year.
For those looking for affordable but powerful Samsung smartphones, there are also models like the Galaxy A51 and Galaxy A71, as well as the Galaxy M31 (which costs less than 300 euros but has four cameras on the back and an exceptional battery) .
