Pixel 4/4 XL: Google would have chosen to integrate a 90Hz OLED screen July 15, 2020 – Posted in: Smartphone news
Google is preparing the arrival of its Pixel 4. Several details have already been revealed by the American firm, such as the design or the facial recognition, but many elements still remain to be determined. And precisely, the 9to5Google site would have recovered several important information from a source qualified as “reliable”.
A 90 Hz OLED panel for the Google Pixel 4 like the OnePlus 7 Pro?
The Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL would respectively have a 5.7 inch OLED panel (Full HD +) and 6.3 inch (Quad HD +). Like the OnePlus 7 Pro, Google would have chosen a screen with a refresh rate of 90 Hz. We must therefore expect a smooth and pleasant experience, but remember that the undisputed master in this area remains the ROG Phone 2 with its 120 Hz OLED screen.
The counterpart for this type of equipment is high energy consumption. The autonomy which was not a strong point of the Pixel 3, risks being impacted. The Pixel 4 would benefit from a 2800 mAh battery and the XL version from 3700 mAh. For comparison, the Galaxy Note 10, which also has a 6.3-inch screen, has a slightly lower battery of 3500 mAh. In terms of performance, expect a Snapdragon 855 SoC, 6 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB of storage.
