A new OxygenOS update for OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro

The new OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro have been available for a few weeks and can now receive a new OxygenOS update. In detail, this is version 10.5.8 for OnePlus 8 and version 10.5.10 for the Pro version. An update that serves in particular to improve the photo / video area of ​​smartphones.

Indeed in his changelog OnePlus in particular ensures a better fluidity of the overall photo experience, among other things by optimizing the animation of the click for the closure of the camera. OnePlus also promises to improve overall stabilization without providing further details.

For its part, the OnePlus 8 Pro has a new function that is specific to its status as “Professional”, with a “Automatic ultra wide angle lens function”This automatically improves the picture quality when shooting from a short distance.

On the video side, the good news can be found on the introduction page of the H.265 HEVC codec, a compression standard that makes it possible to reduce the size of the videos recorded by the smartphone without compromising the quality of the latter.

Obviously, the new update of OxygenOS for OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro is accompanied by the latest Android security patch from May 2020. A relatively important correction, since the latter erases a little less about forty security holes.
