A 125W SuperVOOC charge at Oppo!

On the Oppo side, we obviously decided to go further and faster, as the group will present a new charging solution this week. On July 15, Oppo will actually lift the veil of a new technology that enables charging at 125W. The latter should make it possible to fully charge a 4000 mAh battery in just 15 minutes.

On the competition side, Vivo already offers a (very) fast 120 W charging solution that can be used to restore 50% of the battery in 5 minutes and refuel in a quarter of an hour. Most likely, the technology signed by Oppo should do the same thing or even be a bit faster. For comparison: the quick charge of the iPhone 11 is 18W.

If these new fast charging solutions are an excellent thing in absolute terms, many point to the medium and long-term negative side of this type of technology. With its 65 W technology, which was tested on a Reno Ace 2, Oppo announced a battery capacity of 91% after 800 charging cycles.
